Scholarship Application Now Available

The following information can be found in ISBE's Weekly Message from August 3, 2021. Scroll to the bottom of the newsletter for the Student Opportunities section for an information brochure and application materials. 

Illinois high school juniors or seniors are invited to apply for the United States Senate Youth Program Hearst Scholarship. To qualify, juniors and seniors must demonstrate leadership by serving in elected or appointed positions in which they are actively representing a constituency in organizations related to student government, education, public affairs, and community service.

Students must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents at the time of application to the U.S. Senate Youth Program. State qualified students must be serving in an elected or appointed position in student government or other educational or civic organization representing a constituency of their peers for the entire academic year in which they apply for USSYP.
